Watering:
Water asparagus often, especially when it’s young; give it 1 to 2 inches of water per week for the first two growing seasons, and 1 inch per week for older plants.
Fertilizer:
A balanced mixture, including a 10-10-10 or 15-15-15 blend, comprises equal proportions of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. After the final harvest in late spring or early summer in the fourth year, apply fertilizer.
Re-potting:
The best time to start transplanting is in early spring, as soon as you can work the ground.
Temperature:
During the growing season, asparagus prefers a temperature of 21 to 29 degree Celsius in the day time and 15.5 to 21 degree Celsius at night.
